How to load the Honey Pot feeder (chamber + mix)
Share
What you need
- The Honey Pot Chum Feeder (R35)
- Your chosen Honey Pot Chum attractant
- Ground bait or damp maize meal to bind
Step 1: Mix your fill
Combine your ground bait with a generous squeeze of Honey Pot Chum attractant. You want it damp enough to pack but not so wet it falls off mid-cast. A crumbly, moist consistency is ideal.
Step 2: Pack the chamber
Press the mix firmly into the feeder cage. Work it in from both sides so there are no air gaps. A tightly packed feeder holds together on the cast and breaks down slowly on the bottom — exactly what you want for a slow scent trail.
Step 3: Hook bait on
Press your hook bait — maize, boilie, or wafter — into the top of the packed mix so it sits flush. This keeps it streamlined for the cast and positions it right in the feed zone on the drop.
Step 4: Cast and wait
Cast to your spot, tighten the line, and let the feeder do its work. The Honey Pot attractant disperses through the mix as it breaks down, creating a scent column that draws carp in from distance.
That's it. No complicated rig. Load, cast, wait.
